Band bio

Victoria’s  music scene has a new force to be reckoned with: Vanilla Riot.

This isn't your average cover band churning out the same old tunes. They're a high-octane tribute to the fierce, female-fronted energy of rock, alt, power pop, and post-punk, from the rebellious spirit of the '90s to the edgy sounds of today.

With two powerhouse female vocalists at the helm, Vanilla Riot delivers a sonic assault that's both nostalgic and fresh. They channel the raw swagger of bands like Veruca Salt and The Beaches, the electric synth-rock hooks of Metric, and the pop-punk attitude of Blondie and No Doubt. Their setlist is a carefully curated journey through tracks that defined an era and continue to inspire. They even sprinkle in some rockabilly flair, tipping a hat to artists like Imelda May.

Their signature show, "Riot Act!", is a non-stop dance marathon. The band's infectious energy turns any venue into a pulsating, sweaty mass of bodies. It’s an irresistible call to the dance floor, where you can lose yourself in the music and rediscover the exhilaration of live rock 'n' roll. Vanilla Riot is less of a cover band and more of a musical rebellion—a powerful, provocative, and absolutely unforgettable experience.
